The Children's Bioethics Centre at the Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) Melbourne is an initiative of the RCH in partnership with the Murdoch Children's Research Institute and the University of Melbourne.

The vision for the Children's Bioethics Centre is to promote and advocate for children's interests, rights and welfare in both health care and research through an understanding of ethical issues.

The mission of the Children's Bioethics Centre is to:

  1. Conduct world-class research on ethical issues related to paediatric health care and public health
  2. Take a leadership role in providing paediatric bioethics education, nationally and internationally
  3. Provide a high-quality clinical ethics service for RCH health-care providers

The Children's Bioethics Centre has three major areas of activity: a clinical ethics service, an education program and a research program.  The Children's Bioethics Centre is funded by The Royal Children's Hospital Foundation.
