About the Education Institute

The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) Education Institute is committed to ensuring continuity of learning and ongoing connection to school for children and young people. We aim to build the knowledge base of health and education professionals and the broader community through a strong research agenda, a comprehensive professional learning program and targeted education support services for children and young people and their families.

The RCH Education Institute works in partnership with RCH departments and the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development.

Our research

Research evidence demonstrating the strong links between health and education as critical to children and young people's longer term outcomes drives the RCH Education Institute's research agenda.

The RCH Education Institute Research Unit is currently focusing on the following themes and projects:
