Clinical services

Pharmacy clinical services encompass the range of activities provided by hospital pharmacists to patient care areas such as wards and clinics. The core aim of these services is to get the most appropriate drug to the right patient in a safe and timely fashion.

By working in an integrated health care environment clinical pharmacists are able to provide advice and monitor each patient’s drug therapy. Recommendations can be made including selection of the best medication for the condition, the correct dose and duration of therapy.
