About the Royal Children's Hospital
The Royal Children's Hospital is Victoria's foremost specialist paediatric hospital providing the full range of child and adolescent health services. It is the designated statewide provider of highly specialist services including paediatric intensive care, neurology, cardiac, cancer and child and adolescent mental health services. It has a major role in child and adolescent public health. The Royal Children's Hospital is internationally recognised as a leading centre for child and adolescent health research and education.
Service Directions

Strengthen role as the tertiary paediatric service provider in Victoria and a major teaching and research hospital.

Continue to be the designated statewide provider of paediatric major trauma services, paediatric intensive care and high complexity low volume paediatric services.

Strengthen leadership and advocacy role in child and adolescent health issues by being responsive to new and emerging child and adolescent health issues, facilitating clinical excellence in services for children and adolescents throughout the state and undertaking research and education in the full range of paediatric health issues.
