If breast milk is not available for your baby or there is a reason that they cannot have it (this is rare), they will be given an infant formula to support their growth and development.

The hospital stocks a wide variety of both regular and specialised infant formulas so please discuss your child’s current feeding routines and formula requirements with our staff.

To ensure that strict hygiene and nutrition guidelines are maintained, all infant formula must be prepared by our Central Formula Room.

No infant formula is to be prepared by parents or carers on the ward.
