Associate Professor Hall graduated from the University of Melbourne BDSc(Hons) in 1956 and continued postgraduate training in Paediatric Dentistry and Oral Surgery at the Eastman Dental Hospital and Royal College of Surgeons in England from 1959 to 1960. He was appointed as the Paediatric Dentist to the Royal Children'sHospital, Melbourne in 1960. He received a MDSc from the University of Melbourne in 1962, a FRACDS (Inaugural Fellow) in 1966 and a FICDin 1988. He accepted the position of Director of Dentistry at the Royal Children's Hospital in 1967 and continued in this capacity until 1998. Associate Professor Hall has held a teaching appointement at the University of Melbourne since 1958 and is Visiting Professor at the University of Strasbourg in France.
