Our 2022 RCH Midsumma Pride March Contingent, 6 February
Every year since 2017, the Royal Children's Hospital has proudly participated in the Annual Midsumma Festival Pride March. This annual event highlights the diverse groups and personalities in our community and recognises that everyone deserves to be heard, to feel safe and to belong. We join over 7,400 marchers who take
to Fitzroy Street in St Kilda, and over 45,000 people who line the streets and
balconies along the march route to show their support – making this the
best-attended Pride March in Victoria. At the RCH, we endeavour to demonstrate
our support for our rainbow employees, patients and families by marching. These
are days filled with pride as we celebrate the RCH’s solidarity in gender and
sexuality diversity.
Participation is open to any RCH team member, and we encourage you to bring family and friends along. It's all about demonstrating our support of the LGBTQIA+ community, practising allyship, and having fun!
If you would like to register to make sure you're on the RCH Pride March mailing list, please email Helen Siddel, Director, Organisational Development.
