The Holmesglen Integrated Practical Placement (IPP) Program is the first of its kind in Australia, and won the prestigious
Industry Collaboration Award at the Australian Training Awards in 2019.
The Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH) is incredibly proud of this program, which provides career placement opportunities for up to ten Holmesglen students with learning needs and/or disability.

In 2022, nine students will be completing three nine-week placements at various non-medical departments around the RCH. The students will also be completing a Certificate 1 in Work Education alongside these practical placements. This is the fifth year the program has run at the Royal Children's
Hospital.
In their placements the students will focus on developing a variety of skills valued by employers and developing confidence in their own abilities to perform at work.
This program is being measured and hopes to inspire other businesses to create opportunities for people with added learning disability to learn required skills for the workforce.
