The Education Hub Outreach Program offers paediatric education and training to health professionals in Victoria, Tasmania and beyond. Through collaboration with regional and community health services we respond to the needs of health workforce who care for children outside of a tertiary paediatric setting.
We offer a variety of learning opportunities including in-person, virtual and hybrid activities.

Paediatric Webinar Series
This free monthly online series covers diverse topics that relate to the care of children and young people. They aim to appeal to an interprofessional audience.
Online Workshops
These small group interactive virtual half day workshops cover a variety of topics that would appeal to an interprofessional audience.
Previous courses have included:
- Normal Paediatric Parameters - Understanding Paediatric Development
- Acute Pain Management
- Clinical Supervision/Preceptorship
Community-based Education
These specialised programs are designed to meet the unique learning needs of clinicians working in the community and primary care settings and target specific craft groups. Registration occurs on an annual basis and includes a monthly interactive webinar and access to an online forum, resources, and past webinar recordings.
We currently offer programs for the following groups:
Specialty Events
These one-day seminar style events are offered in a hybrid format where you can choose to attend onsite at RCH or virtually. This format connects RCH experts with those working in the community and regional areas through sharing of the latest evidenced-based practice.
Customised Programs
Our clinical educators can co-design a program that meets your organisation's learning needs. Our funding enables us to provide these services to public regional health services in Victoria and Tasmania at a subsidised cost. We also provide education for private, metropolitan, and interstate organisations at an additional fee.
