Identification of patients
Identification of patients
When your child is admitted to hospital they will have an identification band attached around their wrist or ankle. The information on the band includes the patient’s name, date of birth and their unique RCH hospital record number, or UR number. Your child will be cared for by many different nursing, medical and allied health staff throughout their stay and you will be asked to confirm the information on the band regularly.
