It is not possible to make external calls from the ward telephones.  However, all wards have parent telephones. Please ask ward your ward clerk.

Public telephones are located throughout the hospital including Main Street.  There is a direct taxi phone located near the ATMs just off Main Street.

Telstra prepaid phone cards can be purchased from the retail chemist in Main Street.

In-house phones are available in the Family Resource and Respite Centre, located in the North Building, Ground floor (Beach). These phones can be used to make internal calls. The last five digits of any hospital telephone number that starts with 9345 are the internal extension number and can be called from any internal/in-house phone: e.g. phone number 9345 9876 would be internal extension number 59876.
