Assessment and when to refer
History and physical examination for all ages
Differential diagnosis of
midline neck swellings includes:
- Thyroglossal cyst.
- Dermoid cyst.
- Submental lymph node.
- Ectopic thyroid.
- Refer to General Surgery
Department non-urgently for all non-inflammed masses.
- Please provide history and
any investigations undertaken.
