The open disclosure program consists of an eLearning module, a workshop and access to practice with an actor in a simulated environment.

The eLearning module provides the underpinning concepts of Open Disclosure. A 'potential harm' case-based film threaded throughout emphasises the importance of the pre-huddle, open disclosure and post-huddle conversations.

The workshop uses case-based real life scenarios relevant to individual departments.

• A complex case is used to demonstrate Open Disclosure as a multi-meeting process and enable teams to see some of the complexity in dealing with communication and emotion.
• Participants then practice their Open Disclosure skills on each other using department specific scenarios.
