Kate has worked as a physiotherapist supporting children with cerebral palsy and other physical disabilities since graduating in 2000. Prior to her role in the Orthopaedic Department, Kate worked for many years in the community in Specialist Schools and Early Childhood Services. She joined the Orthopaedic Department as a consultant physiotherapist in 2010, working with the multidisciplinary team supporting children with cerebral palsy and other neurodevelopmental disabilities. Additionally, Kate supports hip surveillance for children with cerebral palsy attending multiple departments across RCH, and is involved in leading work to coordinate a state-wide program for hip surveillance across Victoria. Kate completed a doctoral degree in 2011 and has maintained an active program of research since that time. She currently coordinates research and knowledge translation activities within the Orthopaedic Department related to the surveillance and management of hip displacement for children with cerebral palsy.
