Dr Alenka Paddle graduated with first class honours from Monash University, Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in 2005, and completed a Post-graduate Diploma in Surgical Anatomy at The University of Melbourne in 2007, as dux of the year. 

Since receiving her Fellowship from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in the Specialty of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (FRACS) in 2015, Alenka has enriched her expertise in paediatric plastic surgery and cleft surgery through positions as Clinical Fellow in Cleft Surgery at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, London, and at Erasmus Medical Centre, Rotterdam. 

She has also undertaken further sub-specialty fellowships at the Melbourne Institute of Plastic Surgery, Klinik für Plastische Gesichtschirurgie Marienhospital in Stuttgart, Germany, and Velthuis Kliniek, Rotterdam, The Netherlands.

Alenka has particular interest in the management of adolescent / young adult patients with cleft lip and palate and breast asymmetry and through her appointment at The Royal Melbourne Hospital, is committed to facilitating a pathway for these patients into and through adult services.
