Kirstie MacGill graduated from Melbourne university and completed Plastic Surgery training in 1992. She then completed fellowships in clefts, burns and head and neck cancer in the UK and London. On her return she was offered a position at Royal Children's Hospital Melbourne where she has been ever since.
"Who wouldn't love working at a hospital with clown doctors? However, the best thing about working at the RCH is the children, their optimism and resilience, and watching them grow into adults".
Kirstie has had various roles at the RCH and is currently the Clinical Lead for general plastic surgery in the Plastic and Maxillofacial Surgery department. Her other interest is surgical education and she is currently studying for a Masters in Surgical Education.
