Citrate Must be venous or arterial collection, NOT capillary Collect specimen in a NON-heparinised syringe

State on the request form the site of collection (e.g. aterial, venous, indwelling line)and any anticoagulation therapy being administered (e.g. UFH - standard heparin, LMWH - clexane, fragmin, etc., warfarin). Must arrive in the laboratory within 1 hr collection.
Clinical Information: If collecting sample from an arterial line, please clear line as per unit protocol prior to collecting sample.
