Serum - Gel OR Broncheolar Lavage (BAL)

Please note: If additional testing is required from the same sample, please collect 2-3mL

Laboratory Notes:

Serum: Centrifuge, aliquot and freeze (Frozen Sendaway Aliquots cryobox)

BAL - freeze (Frozen Sendaway Aliquots cryobox)

Bacteriology to forward BAL aliquot to SR with copy of request form AND Forwarding form stating "-70 storage". SR to store in "Frozen Sendaway Aliquots cryobox in -70°C freezer.

Send to testing laboratory on dry ice. Do not pack dry ice in a sealed container.  Use appropriate PPE.
