Factor V Leiden gene mutation G1691A genotyping is performed when:

• APCR is abnormal or
• Clinician requests test due to a strong family history of Factor V Leiden mutation

Do NOT SPIN. Store unopened whole blood at 2-8°C

If received at the RWH Core Laboratory, send specimen to RCH Haematology laboratory for pre-dispatch preparation.
