Blood - EDTA
COLLECTION NOTE: 1. Place on an ice pillow and send to the laboratory immediately LAB NOTES:
EDTA plasma sample; must be separated promptly at 4C and then plasma frozen and sent on dry ice. Test referral must be approved by Chemical Pathologist or Principal Scientist following liaison with the clinical team and the referral laboratory. The approval will be based on the clinical condition of the patient and previous history (eg. 24hr urine oxalate result, transplant status, suspected damage to graft). All timed samples should be batched and sent together.

This assay is performed infrequently (3-4 times per year) ONLY following clinical authorisation (as above).
