VFPMS will be holding a two-day seminar on Child Abuse Paediatrics and Forensic Paediatric Medicine on Monday 2nd and Tuesday 3rd June, 2014.

The seminar will be held at Rydges on Swanston.

The seminar might appeal to paediatric trainees who wish to complete a basic child protection (medical) program in order to satisfy RACP advanced training requirements. The seminar will cover topics related to the evaluation of injury, sexual abuse in children and adolescents as well as neglect.

Most of the seminar content will be presented as lectures and small group case-based discussions, but the last session on Tuesday 3rd June will involve a session for attendees to practice presenting testimony in court. Audience participation is expected!
